Norwegian organisation number: 920 318 479

Reporting period: 2026

1. About the business

Faun Gruppen AS is Norway's largest producer of cabins and holiday homes. The group was established in 2006 and, over the course of nearly 20 years, has become the market leader in the sale and construction of cabins in Norway.

Cabins are sold and delivered under brands such as Familiehytta, Nordlyshytter, Leve Hytter, Leve Leiligheter, Telemarkhytter and Øverbygg. The cabins are produced as precut building kits and delivered to customers throughout Norway. Assembly is carried out by Faun Montasje AS, which is a wholly owned subsidiary. Faun Montasje uses its own installers and site managers with specialist expertise in the erection of cabin building kits.

The group operates mainly in the Norwegian market, with Norwegian customers and predominantly Norwegian suppliers. The group also has operations in Sweden through Øverbygg Sverige. Purchases of building materials and supplies are made primarily through Gausdal Landhandleri, which is the group's main supplier of timber and building materials.

The group has approximately 75 employees in the parent company and a total of approximately 223 employees including subsidiaries. The parent company Faun Gruppen AS is wholly owned by Sportlov Bidco AS.

2. Guidelines and procedures

Faun Gruppen AS has established a written procedure for fulfilling obligations under the Norwegian Transparency Act, approved by the Group CEO and effective from 01.07.2022 (last revised 18.06.2026).

The due diligence assessments are carried out in accordance with the OECD model for responsible business conduct and include:

  • Annual working meeting with risk assessment relating to internal working conditions and health, safety and environment (HSE) in the assembly business
  • Annual questionnaire for selected suppliers and business partners
  • Searches of open sources regarding suppliers and business partners
  • Prioritisation of measures based on the risk assessment

Responsibility for implementation is assigned to the Technical Director, with overall responsibility held by the Group CEO. Employees and partners may contact the Technical Director or Group CEO directly with any concerns.

3. Risk assessment and findings

The overall assessment is that the risk of breaches of fundamental human rights and decent working conditions is low for Faun Gruppen AS. This is because the group mainly sells to the Norwegian market, uses Norwegian suppliers and operates within Norwegian legislation.

The mapping has identified two risk areas that are followed up specifically:

Risk area 1: Foreign carpenters on rotation

Faun Montasje AS uses foreign carpenters on a rotation basis. The risk relates to compliance with Norwegian rules on pay, working hours, rotation arrangements and accommodation conditions, as well as HSE practice at the construction site.

Likelihood: Medium — this is a known risk area within the industry.

Severity: Medium — breaches will primarily affect the individual employee.

Findings from this year's survey:

After a review with Terje Lindholm (managing director of Faun Montasje AS) in an internal working meeting in June 2026, we can confirm that salary payments are in line with the generally applicable collective agreement.

The routine handbook and HSE handbook were presented at the meeting. These are available in SmartDok, and each individual employee must sign to confirm that they have familiarised themselves with the routines and instructions in the handbooks during onboarding.

The Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority has carried out three – 3 – inspections at the construction site in 2026. No deviations or breaches of regulations have been identified relating to HSE, working conditions, contractual conditions or working hours. This is documented in inspection reports.

Risk area 2: Subcontractors abroad

Gausdal Landhandleri purchases some goods from subcontractors outside Norway. The risk is linked to child labour, forced labour, environmentally harmful production and violations of workers' rights in high-risk countries.

Likelihood: Low to medium — Gausdal Landhandleri is an established Norwegian operator with its own supplier requirements.

Severity: High — breaches in producing countries can be serious and difficult to detect.

Findings from the supplier survey:

Gausdal Landhandleri has, through a questionnaire, accounted for and confirmed that they have their own ethical guidelines for suppliers and that they carry out their own due diligence assessments.

We have received their own statement pursuant to the Norwegian Transparency Act for the calendar year 2025, as well as a document on ethical guidelines (dated 29 January 2025).

4. Measures and follow-up

Based on this year's mapping, the following measures have been implemented or planned:

There is no need for measures beyond ongoing routines.
