Last updated: 24 June 2026
This privacy statement explains how Telemarkhytter AS («Telemarkhytter», «we», «us») collects and processes personal data when you visit our website and contact us. We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Personal Data Act.
1. Data controller
Telemarkhytter AS (organisation number 997 059 565) is the data controller for the personal data processed via the website. If you have any questions about privacy, contact us at post@telemarkhytter.no or by phone +47 22 16 35 00. Visiting address: Økernveien 94, 0579 Oslo.
2. What personal data we process
We process information you provide yourself, as well as certain technical information:
- Contact form: name, email address, telephone number and the content of the message.
- Downloading the cabin catalogue: name, email address and telephone number.
- Technical information: usage statistics (Google Analytics) and IP address processed technically to deliver the website.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We process personal data in order to:
- respond to enquiries and follow up dialogue – legitimate interest and, where applicable, steps prior to entering into an agreement (GDPR art. 6 no. 1 b and f),
- send the cabin catalogue and information you have requested – consent (art. 6 no. 1 a), which can be withdrawn,
- marketing you have consented to, such as newsletters and other marketing – consent (art. 6 no. 1 a),
- relevant marketing to existing customers and interested parties, where our legitimate interest is weighed against your rights – balancing of interests (art. 6 no. 1 f), and you may opt out,
- mandatory and transaction-related information necessary to fulfil an agreement, such as order and delivery confirmations – agreement (art. 6 no. 1 b),
- operate, secure and improve the website – legitimate interest (art. 6 no. 1 f).
Our marketing is based on three processing bases in line with Faun Gruppens consent framework: consent to other marketing (art. 6 no. 1 a), legitimate marketing based on a balancing of interests (art. 6 no. 1 f), and mandatory/transaction-related information under an agreement (art. 6 no. 1 b). Consent can be withdrawn, and you may opt out of marketing, by contacting us at post@telemarkhytter.no.
4. Who we share information with
We never sell personal data and do not share it with unauthorised parties. We use data processors who process information on our behalf, under a data processing agreement:
- Vercel – operation/hosting and visitor and performance statistics,
- Sanity – content platform (CMS),
- Google – Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (visitor statistics and tag management),

Enquiries may be forwarded to the appropriate salesperson or region at Telemarkhytter for relevant follow-up.
5. Transfer outside the EEA
Some suppliers may process information outside the EEA (for example in the USA). Such transfer only takes place on a lawful basis, such as the EU's standard contractual clauses (SCC) and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, with appropriate safeguards.
6. How long we store the information
We store personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose. Enquiries are kept for as long as necessary to follow up with you, and are deleted when no longer relevant. Information related to agreements is kept for as long as accounting regulations require. Consent-based communication ceases when you withdraw your consent.
